Do you have devices for at home use?
Neural Synergy is happy to offer clients at-home light therapy devices in addition to in-clinic services. Further, we partner with manufacturers who are committed to providing convenient, safe, and effective LED light therapy systems. These systems are tailored to your specific needs, please reach out to design your at-home device package.
Are low-level lasers safe?
The lasers that we utilize in our practice are classified as low-level or “cold” lasers. Unlike the hot lasers commonly used in surgical procedures & sci-fi flicks, our devices do not produce heat. These Class II medical devices are safe and effective, with FDA-approval for relieving pain by decreasing inflammation and increasing circulation.
What is the difference between LEDs and Low-level lasers?
We utilize both LEDs and low-level lasers in our in-clinic sessions. Generally speaking, the low-level lasers are more efficient and powerful devices. Categorized as a Class II medical device, you must be a medical or health professional to purchase and use these lasers. However, our LED systems provide us with an expanded capacity to tailor sessions to your individual needs. Further, with ergonomically designed pads that can be placed across the body, our light therapists are able to contour these systems to address joint and extremity discomfort.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please, keep in mind that we do have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Sessions canceled within 24-hours of a scheduled appointment will incur a $50 fee. However, appointments can be cancelled and rescheduled without charge prior to the 24-hour window. When is payment expected?
Right now, all clients receive their first three sessions out of twelve for free. However, after the third session, you will be billed automatically prior to each scheduled session.
Does insurance cover the services?
No. Currently, light therapy services are not covered by most insurance companies. However, you may be able to apply for reimbursement for out-of-pocket services. Nonetheless, we encourage you to contact your insurance company and discuss benefits your individual plan may offer.
What should I wear?
Wear loose-fitting clothing that you feel comfortable and relaxed in. However, please be mindful of the accessibility to areas of your body that the devices will be applied. Nonetheless, Neural Synergy does have some clothing available for specific interventions.
Are there any side effects?
There are no known negative side effects of light therapy. However, the process of light therapy does activate our detoxification pathways–to limit the impact of these effects, we encourage you to rest and drink plenty of water before and after each session.
How long before I see results?
Each individual’s healing process is unique–however, folks will generally begin to feel the pain-relief effects in as few as three light therapy sessions. Lasting relief can be expected after completing 10-12 sessions.
Will in person services continue during COVID-19?
We pride ourselves in providing high quality services. However, in order to support the flattening of the curve we have decided to suspend in-person direct services until further notice. Our services will return to normal operations once the social distancing order has been lifted.
